I have a great suggestion for your planting mixture! Why not try using a blend of fir bark, charcoal, perlite, pumice, and Sphagnum moss? It'll be wonderful.

This plant loves the sun, but not too much! If it's in too much sunlight, its leaves might change colour. So, just pop it in an east- or west-facing window and it'll be perfectly happy.
